Length: 18 – 21 cms.

Head, neck, back, breast and wings smoky black. Lower back, crissums and flanks white. Lower abdomen and undertail coverts smoky black. White upper abdomen divided by a black central line which unites the breast with the lower abdomen. Internal under wings with a thick black border. Smoky black square tail. Black beak. Palmate black feet.
