Caracara plancus (Miller)

Length 55 – 58 cms. / Wingspar 120 cms.
Weight 0.8 – 1.6 kg.

Black crown with raised feathers in back like a crest. Cheeks, throat and neck cream colored. Base of the neck, breast and upper back dark brown with transverse cream colored rays. Lower back and leggings dark brown. Yellowish legs.
